Description
The Vinopôle Bordeaux-Aquitaine is a center for applied research and training in viticulture and oenology. Its primary mission is to transfer the results of viticultural experiments to benefit the wine-growing operations in Aquitaine.
It contributes to large-scale collective and collaborative projects and implements innovative actions for the Bordeaux and Aquitaine vineyards.
The Vinopôle Bordeaux-Aquitaine brings together the expertise of the Gironde Chamber of Agriculture, the French Vine and Wine Institute (IFV), AgroCampus Bordeaux-Gironde, and two interprofessional organizations: the Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB) and the Interprofession of Bergerac and Duras Wines.
It conducts experiments in viticulture and oenology, from vineyard planting to bottling. The work carried out by experts addresses key challenges in the wine sector and covers various areas: reducing inputs, preserving biodiversity, soil management, combating vine diseases and pests, mitigating climate risks, researching resistant grape varieties, and developing new wine-making processes.
