Mr. Fabrice Wehrung, Oenologue-Consultant at the Station oenotechnique de Champagne, will share his experience of the technical challenges involved in making a Premium quality sparkling wine in a new region, on the bangs of the historic terroirs for sparkling wine production. Mr. Lorenzo Italiano, Researcher at the Geisenheim Institute of Oenology (Germany), will present the results of recent research on PIWI-resistant grape varieties, particularly well suited to the cool climates found in new, more northerly production zones. Following the round table, a tasting of Chant d'Eole Réserve millésimée will be held at 5pm in the “Sparkling Hub” village, D0418 - Hall 3.
